Job summary

Singularity Defense Corp. is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer in Gardena, CA to turn development hardware into repeatable, scalable production.

You will own processes, create work instructions, and work with technicians, design, quality, and test engineers to establish manufacturing capabilities and scale production. You will partner with design to resolve assembly access and producibility issues, perform PFMEA analyses, and implement prevention measures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience creating work instructions and process flows from drawings and BOMs in configuration-controlled docs.
• Experience with DFMA, PFMEA, costing estimation, and root-cause analysis to implement changes.
• Experience developing tooling, fixtures, equipment, or production test systems, incl. troubleshooting during initial use.
• Strong ownership and communication skills across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing processes and scaling for interceptor production, maturing from early builds to high-rate output.
• Develop and maintain production documentation, travelers, inspection requirements, and aligned change control.
• Collaborate with design to resolve assembly, tooling, tolerance, and producibility challenges.
• Lead PFMEA activities with cross-functional teams to drive prevention measures and controls.
• Support builds, train operators, and address nonconformances to enable repeatable production.
