Job summary

Cooper Standard in New Philadelphia, Ohio seeks a Process Engineer (Plant) to lead special projects and provide engineering support for manufacturing operations.

You will troubleshoot shop floor activities, improve throughput, develop bill of materials and process flows, create PFMEA, run trial processes, and collaborate with engineering, quality and plant chemist to drive cost reductions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with 4 years of process engineering experience or equivalent.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary task teams and supervise manufacturing.
• Excellent knowledge of manufacturing parts and processes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot shop floor activities and improve throughput to reduce costs.
• Interact with Divisional Engineering on new jobs related to PPAP and process items.
• Coordinate and perform initial trial runs on new processes and equipment; track issues for resolution.
• Create bill of materials, process flows and PFMEA; estimate production times and staffing.
• Communicate issues with Technical Manager and support continuous improvement programs.
• Work with lab and quality to ensure proper operations and cost reduction initiatives.
