Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise assembly processes across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
• Manage new launches and continuous improvement projects.
• Coordinate training for employees affected by projects.
• Assist in budget and timing development for projects.
• Track cycle times, scrap, efficiency and other process metrics.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Apply electrical/electronic and mechanical theory to write specifications and comply with codes.
• Plan R&D proposals including objectives, costs and resources.
• Oversee key projects and create performance reports and data analyses.
• Use root-cause analysis, flowcharts and fishbone diagrams.
• Research design concepts and technologies for new or improved products.
• Review proposals for benefits and feasibility and present to management.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality on improvements and new product development.
• Record test data and apply statistical QC procedures.
• Analyze data and report deviations from standards.
• Set up destructive and nondestructive tests and collect data.
• Prepare graphs and enter data for analysis.
• Write and revise work instructions and maintain documentation.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure safety.
