Job summary
Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer in Johnson City, TN to design and optimize manufacturing processes and collaborate with small teams to develop novel equipment for production efficiency.
The role requires a BS in engineering and 2+ years in manufacturing with CNC machining experience; proficiency in CATIA/SolidWorks is preferred, and the company offers full benefits and generous PTO.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering.
- 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.
- 1+ years CNC machining, programming and cutting tool selection.
- Experience with selection of machining equipment.
Responsibilities
- Design manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate on in-house development of novel and complex manufacturing equipment.
- Specification development for manufacturing equipment.
- Collaborate with external equipment suppliers on equipment design.
- Manage external equipment suppliers from development through buyoff.
- Validation and characterization of new equipment and fixtures for production.
- Partner with maintenance in root cause analysis of down equipment and mitigate downtime.
- Fixturing and tooling design in CATIA or SolidWorks.
- Experience with CNC machining on vertical centers and lathes.
