Job summary

Akkodis is recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer in the West Point, Mississippi area. This onsite direct hire position offers a pay range of $85,000 to $105,000 annually plus benefits, with relocation considered.

You will analyze manufacturing requirements, develop costs and labor standards, and design manufacturing solutions for electronic products, ensuring compliance with ISO-9001-2000, J-STD-001, IPC-A-61 and DoD contracts. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of four years of electronics manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing process development and production operations.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of PCB design concepts and CAD tools.
  • Willingness to obtain government clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and support electrical, mechanical, and software-related manufacturing solutions.
  • Review drawings, schematics, specs, and docs to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing methods and assembly processes for electronics.
  • Ensure practices meet quality standards and customer obligations.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation such as work instructions and process flows.
  • Coordinate engineering change activities and related documentation.
  • Manage product lifecycle from development through production and end-of-life.
  • Evaluate and implement manufacturing equipment and tooling to improve performance.
  • Investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop new processes and monitor processes including assembly, soldering, coating, prep.

Job description

Akkodis is recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer for a motivated client in the West Point, Mississippi area. This is an onsite direct hrie position with a pay range of $85,000 annually to $105,000 Annually + Benefits, depending on education, experience and location. Relocation would be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze manufacturing requirements and develop cost estimates, labor standards, production capacities, and process recommendations for new and existing products.
  • Design and support electrical, mechanical, and software-related manufacturing solutions as needed.
  • Review engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, technical documentation, and related materials to verify compliance with product and customer requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing methods, workflows, and assembly processes for electronic products and subassemblies.
  • Ensure manufacturing practices align with applicable quality standards, industry requirements, and customer contractual obligations.
  • Create, revise, and maintain manufacturing documentation such as work instructions, process flows, procedures, travelers, and production support materials.
  • Coordinate engineering change activities, including change requests, notices, deviations, waivers, and related documentation.
  • Manage product lifecycle activities from initial development through production, sustainment, and end-of-life planning.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production technologies to improve operational performance.
  • Investigate manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions that improve quality, productivity, and reliability.
  • Perform new process development, monitor, and maintain the processes in all areas of manufacturing including but not limited to assembly, soldering, coating, prep, and related equipment with consideration of ISO-9001-2000, J-STD-001, IPC-A-61 0 Class 3, and other Surface Mount technology Quality standards relative to DoD contracts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of four years of experience within an electronics manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing process development, process improvement, and production operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Working knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) design concepts, routing, and 3D modeling.
  • Experience using electronic design and CAD tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence, KiCad, Eagle, Autodesk Fusion, or similar software.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
  • able to gain a Govt Clearance
