Job Title: Development Process Engineer (Manufacturing Process Engineer) - Medical Device

Location: Plymouth, MN 55442 (Onsite)

Duration: 12 Months (W2 Contract)

Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Development Process Engineer (Manufacturing Process Engineer) to support our manufacturing and product development teams. The ideal candidate will optimize both new and existing manufacturing processes, troubleshoot equipment issues, and work cross-functionally to ensure efficient, high-quality production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies and quality system requirements.
• Lead and complete technical tasks aimed at improving or developing new manufacturing processes, aligned with current and next-generation product programs.
• Monitor, analyze, and enhance the performance of equipment, machinery, and tools; resolve issues causing product defects, low yields, or quality concerns.
• Collaborate with R&D and Quality departments to integrate new products and processes into production.
• Apply engineering principles to solve routine to complex technical challenges, including those requiring innovative or novel approaches.
• Develop subject matter expertise in assigned areas and share insights through reports, presentations, and mentoring of junior staff.
• Understand and align engineering activities with business and customer needs.
• Contribute to strategic planning, emerging technology evaluation, and long-term process improvement initiatives.
• May lead or participate in cross-functional project teams and contribute to training and onboarding efforts.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Experience:

• 2 to 5+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and engineering best practices.

Technical & Business Knowledge:

• Familiarity with concepts, practices, and procedures in process engineering and manufacturing.
• Basic understanding of business operations, regulatory environments, and customer requirements.
