Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated in San Diego, CA is seeking a Documentation Specialist to document manufacturing processes and standardize work instructions across production lines. You will gather data, photograph setups, and create clear, repeatable process documents to support new product introductions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 1 year of related electromechanical assembly experience.
• Experience in process improvement for waste reduction, cost reduction or better control.
• Experience writing assembly and/or test procedures preferred.
• MS Office proficiency for documentation and reporting.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems (IFS, Shop-Floor Workbench) and documentation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions with a focus on standardization.
• Track status of manufacturing work instructions on the shop floor.
• Capture equipment settings photos and tool data for work instructions.
• Update and expand instructions for alternate equipment or processes.
• Ensure instructions align with Engineering and Quality Assurance requirements.
• Provide training on work instructions to operators and staff.
