Job summary

Remote Co. in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Plant Controller to lead financial operations across multiple manufacturing facilities.

This hybrid role partners with plant leadership to drive profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control while maintaining strong internal controls and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in manufacturing accounting, deep cost/accounting knowledge, and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including manufacturing experience.
• Strong background in cost accounting, inventory accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Experience partnering with plant operations, supply chain, and senior leadership.
• Strong understanding of month-end close, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Partner with plant leadership to evaluate financial performance, identify risks, and drive operational improvements.
• Manage manufacturing cost accounting, including inventory valuation, labor, materials, overhead, and production variances.
• Support standard costing, inventory controls, cycle counts, and analysis of excess or slow-moving inventory.
• Analyze plant performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability, productivity, and working capital.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and reporting requirements.
• Support audits and drive improvements in financial reporting, forecasting, and accounting processes.
