Job summary

JTEKT Automotive NA in Morristown, TN is seeking a Plant Controller to safeguard the integrity of plant financials, lead month-end closes, budgeting, and forecasting while driving cost and performance analyses across manufacturing operations.

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams, ensures IFRS and SOX compliance, supports audits, and delivers timely financial insights to guide plant decisions and control inventory and capital spend.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Accounting or related field.
• 10 years' progressive finance/accounting experience in manufacturing.
• At least 5 years as a Controller/Manager.
• CPA / CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weekly and monthly P&L and GL reconciliations.
• Ensure timely close of plant month-end financials.
• Analyze and approve capital requests and CIP spending.
• Manage plant inventory accounting and standard costs.
• Lead bi-annual financial planning and budgeting.
• Coordinate physical inventories and variance analysis.
• Support audits and SOX compliance.
