Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager for our high-volume aluminum can facility in Conroe, TX. You will oversee plant-level accounting, cost accounting, and internal controls to support production, supply chain, and leadership teams.

You will partner with operations to drive cost transparency, improve financial performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring GAAP compliance and robust reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; at least 2 years in manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Experience in metal packaging, high-speed manufacturing, or process-driven production is a plus.
• Strong background in cost accounting, standard costing, and inventory accounting.
• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and advanced Excel or data tools.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting services for the plant.
• Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Analyze trends, cost, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
• Oversee plant-level financial statements, variance analyses, and monthly closing reports.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, capital expenditure tracking, and depreciation schedules.
• Monitor production costs, labor utilization, and overhead absorption.
