Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. seeks a seasoned Master Scheduler in Nichols, NY to develop master schedule requirements from demand forecasts, coordinate capacity, and manage inventories. You will liaise with production and sales, oversee location changes, and drive cost-saving improvements across the division.

The role requires 5+ years in production planning/logistics, APICS/Six Sigma certifications as a plus, and strong Microsoft Office proficiency. Safety, career growth, and training are emphasized.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in business, logistics, management or related area.
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning/logistics/materials handling.
  • APICS CPSM Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing certificates are highly desired.
  • AS400 knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing, operational, and customer-driven environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access and Word.
  • Ability to develop processes, train end users, and implement projects to completion.
  • Capable of managing changing business needs and requirements.
  • Proven critical thinking and initiative to drive improvements.
  • Effective oral and written communications.
  • Demonstrated project management, time management and organizational skills.

  • Assure proper use of the system through on-site auditing and clear tracking metrics.
  • Maintain accurate needs attention and obsolete inventory and implement improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement through training, tool development, and strategic planning.

Division Overview

Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts.

Location and Salary

Location: Nichols, NY Salary: We offer competitive salary $105,000.00 to $125,000.00 *Actual salary will be determined based on skill and experience level*

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing Master Schedule requirements from demand forecast, plant capacity, and historical data

  • Oversee development and maintenance of tools that enhance production planning capability for the Division

  • Assure inside sales and plants utilize the system through on‑site auditing and clear tracking metrics
  • Maintain accurate needs attention and obsolete inventory and implement measures for improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement through training, tool development, and strategic planning
Job Requirements
  • BS degree in business, logistics, management or related area 5+ years of experience in a production planning/logistics/materials handling role
  • Certificates in APICS, CPSM, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing are highly desired
  • Knowledge of AS400 operating systems is a plus
  • Experience in manufacturing, operational, and customer driven environments
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office with specific emphasis on Excel, Access and Word
  • Ability to develop processes, train end users, and implement projects to completion
  • Capable of managing changing business needs and requirements
  • Proven record of applied critical thinking in a variety of situations, and taking calculated initiative to drive improvements
  • Effective oral and written communications
  • Demonstrated project management, time management and organizational skills
