Job summary

Leonardo DRS Land Electronics seeks an Associate Planner to own production flow, including outgoing RTVs, customer returns, and MO creation. You will work closely with manufacturing to monitor MO aging and ensure timely deliveries, while building documentation and cross-functional visibility into movement and risk.

Daily duties include maintaining build plans, coordinating changes with purchasing and production, and generating reports for program offices and management.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree or equivalent and hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of MRP systems and MES is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
• Strong production planning background and familiarity with purchasing coupling.
• Understanding of core business processes and how planning, purchasing and production connect.

Responsibilities

• Own the RTV (Return-to-Vendor) process and ensure on-schedule material handling.
• Process incoming customer returns and create manufacturing orders to respond quickly.
• Track MO aging and keep orders on time for on-time completion.
• Maintain daily build plans and flag parts or issues threatening the Master Production Schedule.
• Coordinate engineering changes with purchasing and production for timely disposition.
• Build purchase requisitions and consolidate demand against the Master Production Schedule.
• Deliver planning reports and documentation for program offices and management.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory and transaction records.
• Champion the team's mission, values, and culture on the shop floor.
