Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a Planner- Manufacturing in Fort Walton Beach, FL to drive production planning and materials management. The role requires managing build plans daily, coordinating with contracts and project teams, and ensuring timely procurement to support run schedules.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing planning, with strong Excel/MRP skills and familiarity with SharePoint and Pivot Tables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with at least 3 years of demonstrated experience.
• Solid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationships.
• Strong background in project material management and production planning.
• Experience with Excel, Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint.
• Strong understanding of MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence available jobs to be run at specific workstations or machines based on MPS driven demand.
• Meet weekly with Contracts to review pending and newly received demands and assign planner responsibility.
• Manage workload and align resources to maintain balance.
• Drive communications between planning, project accounting, and project management for consistent Material EACs and Execution Charts.
• Improve current systems and operations to meet goals.
• Maintain manufacturing build plans daily and ensure run/setup times are accurate.
• Create and maintain expected completion of scheduled jobs and ensure material availability.
• Plan purchase requisitions and monitor material deliveries for run schedules.
• Ensure outside services are planned and monitored and consolidate demand for purchase requisitions.
• Highlight critical parts and issues that may affect meeting the MPS.
