Job summary

Accelevation is seeking a Manufacturing Planner - Containment to join our Miamisburg team. You will support daily production scheduling, material availability, and ERP data accuracy, closely partnering with Production, Materials, Shipping, Receiving, Procurement and Engineering to align operations with business needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, production planning, materials, inventory, scheduling, logistics, or related role preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience using an ERP/MRP system for production, inventory, purchasing, scheduling, or job transactions preferred.
  • Basic understanding of schedules, material flow, inventory and production processes.
  • Ability to understand how material availability, labor capacity and job priorities impact production.
  • Strong attention to data accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Production, Materials, Procurement, Engineering, Shipping, Receiving, and other teams.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ability to learn manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on priorities, available labor, material availability and customer requirements.
  • Review production schedules, job status, and due dates and communicate changes to Planning and Operations leaders.
  • Work directly with Production teams to understand job progress, capacity constraints, material needs, and factors impacting the schedule.
  • Assist with adjusting job priorities and planning information based on direction from Planning or Operations leadership.
  • Monitor material availability against scheduled production requirements and identify shortages or constraints.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Materials, Shipping, Receiving, and other teams to resolve material availability issues.
  • Support tracking of purchased, outsourced, or vendor-supplied materials and components.
  • Maintain accurate sales order, job, due-date, material, and production information within the ERP/MRP system.
  • Review ERP information for accuracy and identify transactions, dates, quantities, material requirements, or other data requiring correction.
  • Support accurate operational scanning and manufacturing transactions.
  • Assist with resolving ERP or planning discrepancies by coordinating with Engineering, Planning, Operations, SPMs, Procurement, and others.
  • Monitor job status and production activity to identify delays, bottlenecks, or planning concerns.
  • Communicate schedule, material, or system issues that could impact production or customer delivery.
  • Maintain planning reports, trackers, schedules, and other documentation as required.
  • Follow established planning processes and support continuous improvement of planning, material flow, and ERP accuracy.
  • Participate in production meetings, scheduling discussions, or floor walks as needed.
  • Perform other planning and operational support duties as assigned.

Your Impact

The Planning Associate supports daily manufacturing operations by helping maintain production schedules, material availability, job priorities, and accurate ERP data. This role works closely with Production, Materials, Shipping, Receiving, Procurement, Engineering, and other operational teams to help ensure work is properly planned, materials are available, and production information accurately reflects current business needs.

This is a hands‑on, hourly support role that requires regular interaction with the manufacturing floor. The Planning Associate assists with identifying schedule or material constraints, maintaining planning information, communicating changes, and escalating issues that may impact production or on‑time delivery.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Support the development and maintenance of daily and weekly production schedules based on established priorities, available labor, material availability, and customer requirements.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Employees must be able to talk, hear, and frequently sit, with occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Regular lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs is required. Vision requirements include close and color vision and focus adjustment.
