What You Will Do
This is a weekend shift opportunity. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 6:00am – 6:30pm. Work 36 hours and receive pay for 40 hours.
- Attend a 3‑week training program and participate in 4‑8 weeks of on‑the‑job training.
- Learn to set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes or VTCs for routine production operations on similar weldments and assemblies.
- Use operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to set up equipment for grinding, turning, facing, boring and/or chamfering operations involving a limited number of surfaces.
- Verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Obtain operator certification to accept or reject parts.
- Maintain machines by performing total preventive maintenance (TPM).
- Work collaboratively with engineers, quality assurance, programmers and other production personnel to resolve machining problems and assist in part process development.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Qualifications
- High School or GED.
- 1+ years of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience (preferred).
- Ability to make computations involving decimals and fractions.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
