Job summary

Mars in Kendall Township, IL is seeking a Production Operator to run equipment in the assigned area with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. You will perform changeovers, cleaning, and paperwork while supporting 5S and TPM objectives.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma (associates preferred) and have 2+ years in food manufacturing with automated processes (PLC/HMI). Strong math and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Grade 12 or High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associates degree or higher in an engineering or manufacturing related discipline.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in a food-related manufacturing environment with automated processes, including PLC/HMI.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment or TPM is preferred.
• Minimum: Medium: math, communications, computer, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a TPM environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in the assigned work area while ensuring quality, safety and performance standards.
• Perform changeovers and periodic deep cleanings as required.
• Fill out HACCP and military sheets correctly.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing area following 5S standards.
• Participate in TPM teams and support continuous improvement.
