Serta Simmons Bedding (SSB) is hiring for a Plant Hourly, Non-Exempt manufacturing role. The position supports a fast-paced production environment, working with automated and semi-automatic equipment to manufacture quality mattresses and components.

Ideal candidates will be 18+, fluent in reading/writing/speaking English, and possess a high school diploma or GED. Entry-level applicants are welcome; training provided, with competitive benefits and shift opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years or older.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Entry level with little or no experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety policies and OSHA regulations to prevent injuries.
• Applies Lean principles and participates in Kaizen events and continuous improvement.
• Manufactures quantities of quality products per standards.
• Sets up and operates machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
• Monitors processes with meters, gauges, and controls to ensure specs are met.
• Reports malfunctions and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.
• Assembles components to form subassemblies or complete units using hand and power tools.
• Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts to meet tolerances and operating requirements.
• Operates various conventional and CNC manufacturing equipment to fabricate parts.
• Selects and measures raw materials for production processing.
• Resolves issues related to production, machinery, processing and packaging operations.
