Job summary

The Operator Manufacturing III at Coca-Cola Consolidated in Sandston on the 3rd shift sets up, operates, monitors, and troubleshoots manufacturing equipment while maintaining quality and safety standards. You will perform preventive maintenance and adjust machine settings to meet specifications and production schedules.

Day-to-day responsibilities include pre-operation checks, setup and changeover, quality tests under GMP, and handling palletizing and packaging tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of related work experience.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for prolonged periods.
• Weekend work required, including some holidays.
• Work in a noisy, wet, extreme temperature environment.
• Technical, mechanical troubleshooting aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-operation activities on multiple pieces of equipment to ensure proper startup.
• Operates and monitors equipment; performs setup, changeover, and adjustments to maintain quality.
• Performs GMP quality tests and communicates results to ensure production of correct product at high quality.
• Housekeeping and sanitations on production equipment.
• May operate palletizing, stretch wrap, and pallet tag machines as needed.
• Unload/load product using RF Tablet and scan products in warehouse locations.
