Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing/distribution operation preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift or equipment license as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy manufacturing equipment to produce materials to specification requirements.
• Learn and follow standard work for all areas as assigned.
• Evaluate products through visual and dimensional inspection techniques to ensure conformance to tolerance and specifications.
• Organize, load and move in process materials and finished products to maintain efficiency.
• Abide by safety and quality specifications.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles.
• Check production schedule and requirements for runs.
• Set up machines according to specifications.
• Responsible for cleaning and some maintenance of the machine.
• Enter information into the MRP system as required.
• Identify when routine adjustments are necessary to minimize rework.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform additional production tasks as assigned.
