Job summary

Alkegen is seeking a Manufacturing Operator II to set up and run production machinery on the shop floor, including presses and CDCH coating lines. You will ensure continuous operation, minimize downtime, and maintain product quality while performing light maintenance and documentation tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic math skills, and strong communication. Preference given to those with manufacturing experience and familiarity with Excel and BPCS.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; basic math and problem-solving abilities needed.
  • Proficiency in Excel and BPCS experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and change over production machinery including die set-up and material changes.
  • Ensure continuous operation of machinery to minimize downtime and maintain rate targets.
  • Operate presses and CDCH coating lines including prep, coating, sheet separation and deframing of gaskets.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues to maintain quality standards.
  • Keep machines stocked with material, assist in die corrections, and perform light maintenance.
  • Complete paperwork and BPCS transactions accurately and timely; maintain department housekeeping.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.

Job Requirements

The manufacturing operator II position is responsible for set-up of all machinery on shop floor. Able to operate all presses and/or CDCH coating lines in compliance with the company’s standards.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible to set-up and change over production machinery including die set-up and material changes.
  • Responsible for continuous operation of machinery in order to eliminate any unnecessary downtime.
  • Able to operate all presses and/or CDCH coating operations consisting of prep, coating, sheet separating and de-framing of gaskets while also maintaining rate that is part specific.
  • Able to troubleshoot manufacturing issues in order to maintain quality standards.
  • Responsible to make sure each machine is stocked with material throughout the shift.
  • Assist tooling personnel in correcting any potential issues with a die.
  • Able to provide light maintenance on machines or a die including by not limited to oiling and greasing.
  • Responsible to complete all paperwork, documentation, and BPCS transactions accurately and timely.
  • Responsible to assist in general housekeeping of the department.
  • Responsible to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while also maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate

(If a degree is required it must be from an accredited institution) High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Manufacturing experience a plus. Licenses/Certifications: N/A
