Alkegen is a leading specialty materials company focused on battery technologies, filtration media, and specialty insulation. We are seeking a Manufacturing Operator I to set up and run production machinery on the shop floor, ensuring presses and CDCH coating lines operate in compliance with TS16949 and ISO14001 standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to manage time effectively.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Excel.
  • BPCS experience a plus.
  • Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers.
  • Metrics driven and quality focused.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and change over production machinery including die set-up and material changes.
  • Maintain continuous operation of machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Operate presses and CDCH coating operations including prep, coating, sheet separating and deframing of gaskets while maintaining part-specific rate.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues to maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure each machine is stocked with material throughout the shift.
  • Assist tooling personnel in correcting any potential issues with a die.
  • Provide light maintenance on machines or a die including oiling and greasing.
  • Complete all paperwork, documentation, and BPCS transactions accurately and timely.
  • Contribute to general housekeeping of the department.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as required.

Job Requirements:

The Manufacturing Operator I position is responsible for set-up of all machinery on shop floor. Able to operate all presses and/or CDCH coating lines in compliance with the companies TS16949 and ISO14001 standards.
