Job Summary
Responsible for a team assigned to the cell for the preparation, production and/or packaging of blend material. In addition to the base responsibilities of a Manufacturing Operator I, employee must specialize in one or more of four specialty roles: 1) Blend Specialist, 2) Packaging Specialist, 3) Weight Room Specialist, and/or 4) Sanitation Specialist.

• Pay Status: Non-Exempt

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and extract vital information from batch records and execute work instructions using the DQS system.
• Screen, blend, and package amino acids, vitamins, minerals, including allergenic products.
• Operate and monitor processing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform equipment prep, cleaning, operation, minor repairs, and proper cleaning and inspection per SOPs.
• Report equipment issues or damages.
• Perform retention sampling under sterile conditions.
• Maintain regular attendance.

Additional Functions

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Specialty Roles

• Blend Specialist: Operate blenders, screeners, mills, forklifts, magnets, packaging equipment, metal detectors; perform minor repairs.
• Weight Room Specialist: Prepare blends, coordinate distribution orders, handle R&D samples.
• Packaging Specialist: Operate automated and semi-automated packaging lines.
• Sanitation Specialist: Ensure sanitation standards are met.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift training and certification.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience as a Machine Technician.

Skills & Abilities

• Complete Manufacturing Operator I Assessment successfully.
• Work with powders, liquids, allergen products.
• Follow SOPs and work flexibly, including overtime/weekends.
• Read and understand the DQS system.

Physical & Environmental Conditions

• Stand, walk, reach, crouch, lift up to 50 lbs., wear PPE including respirator, work in noisy, humid, hot/cold environments, and handle allergens.
