Production Worker (Monoshell Operator I - 2nd Shift)

Howmet Engines is a world-class producer of aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, including airfoils, rings, disks, and forgings. We excel in vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings, and hot isostatic pressing for high-performance parts that enable the next generation of quieter, more fuel-efficient aero engines and cleaner power generation. Howmet Dover Casting supplies complex, investment-cast turbine airfoils and other components for the aircraft engine and industrial gas turbine industries. Howmet Dover Alloy provides vacuum and air-melted nickel- and cobalt-based superalloys to aerospace, gas turbine, medical, and other high-technology industrial markets.

We are currently seeking a Monoshell Operator to join our Dover Casting team in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this position are Afternoon Shift (Monday to Friday, 2 PM - 10:30 PM). Training will occur on the first shift, Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM.

Starting hourly rate for new hires is $24.79, increasing to $27.35 after 12 months. The position will receive an hourly shift premium when assigned to an off-shift.

Job Summary

The monoshell operator monitors the operation of the dipping robot, ensuring all molds are dipped according to specifications.

Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities

• Implement EHS policies and procedures.
• Comply with all EHS regulations.
• Wear required PPE.
• Report illnesses, injuries, and safety concerns.
• Attend EHS training.

Essential Job Functions

• Monitor dipping robot operation.
• Operate controls for robot movements.
• Maintain dip coat quality by measuring viscosity, weight, and temperature.
• Monitor temperature and humidity charts.
• Ensure proper dip coat and sand coverage.
• Perform face coat, secondary, and backup dipping operations.
• Manufacture dip coats and solutions per specifications.
• Record manufacturing data.
• Dispose of old dips as instructed.
• Perform minor machine maintenance.
• Meet export control regulations (ITAR).

Physical Demands & Equipment Used

• Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
• Use of robots, sanders, pumps, and conveyors.
