This is a 2nd Shift Opportunity, Monday - Thursday, 4 ten-hour shifts from 3:30 pm to 1:30 am.
This position is designed for individuals with little or no machining or grinding background to gain skills and become a Certified Operator at Pratt & Whitney.
Employees will attend a 3-week training program followed by 4-8 weeks of on-the-job training.
Learn to set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes, or VTCs to perform routine production operations on weldments and assemblies.
Work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instructions to set up equipment for various machining operations.
Verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Obtain operator certification to accept or reject parts.
Perform total preventive maintenance (TPM) on machines.
Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, programmers, and other personnel to resolve machining issues and develop parts processes.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

High School diploma or GED.
1+ years of manufacturing, automotive, or related trade experience.
Ability to perform computations involving decimals and fractions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
This role is onsite, primarily working at the North Berwick site. Candidates will learn more about the role type and site status during recruitment.
