Job summary

Rust-Oleum is seeking an Operations Training Instructional Designer to design, develop, implement, and continuously improve training programs across manufacturing operations in Columbus, GA. You will partner with plant leadership, SMEs, supervisors, and frontline employees to accelerate onboarding and improve performance.

The ideal candidate has instructional design expertise, strong knowledge of adult learning principles, and experience with instructor-led, eLearning, and video-based training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of instructional design experience in manufacturing, industrial, logistics, operations, or technical training environments.
• Experience developing instructor-led, eLearning, and performance support materials.
• Experience creating video-based learning and digital learning assets.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engaging operational training programs for manufacturing employees, team leaders, supervisors, and support functions.
• Create instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, video-based, and performance support learning solutions.
• Develop training materials including facilitator guides, participant materials, SOP learning aids, work instructions, job aids, assessments and knowledge checks.
• Convert technical and operational information into learner-friendly materials.
• Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to maximize learning effectiveness.
• Partner with plant leaders and SMEs to identify training needs and support onboarding and proficiency development.
