Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Quality Engineer in Miami, onsite. You will lead quality issue containment, drive root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions across manufacturing and fleet operations.

The role demands 8–10 years in a manufacturing setting (ideally automotive or aviation), proficiency in Six Sigma and problem-solving methodologies, and strong planning and communication skills. Travel to multiple locations is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Support diagnosis of NVH issues and establish standard inspection processes and tools.
• Design, champion, and execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality audits and issue resolution.
• Work cross-functionally with Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, and Vehicle Development to resolve systemic issues.
• Develop and review PFMEA and Control Plans to ensure robust risk mitigation.

Manufacturing Operations - Quality Engineer

Location: Miami, FL (Onsite)

Required to travel to other company locations, including but not limited to Austin, Atlanta, Hayward, San-Franscisco, as needed based on business needs.

Role Overview

The Quality Engineer will interact with quality, manufacturing, engineering, and fleet operations to ensure products meet design specifications, functionality, and customer expectations. The successful candidate must have the ability to meet deadlines, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail-oriented, and work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage quality issue tracking to implement containment, drive Root Cause Analysis, and implement Corrective Actions for non-conformances.
• Support the diagnosis of NVH issues and establish a standard inspection process and required tools.
• Design, champion, and execute strategic continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality audit and issue resolution.
• Work cross-functionally with Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, and Vehicle Development to resolve systemic product and process issues.
• Support the development and review of PFMEA and Control Plans to ensure compliance and robust risk mitigation.
• Communicate technical results clearly and accurately and drive issues to successful closure.
• Travel to other company locations as needed based on business requirements.

Required Qualifications

Education: A BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering is required. Experience: A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive or aviation sectors. Technical Skills: Proven expertise in advanced problem-solving methodologies such as Shainin Red X or Six Sigma. Strong planning, organizational, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
• Expertise in using quality management and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, MES, JIRA) for data analysis and reporting.
• ASQ Certification, such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt.
