Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Salt Lake City is seeking a Manager General Manufacturing 1 to oversee manufacturing and test operations, ensure safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery for key defense programs.

You will lead design and process development, production, operations, engineering, test and QA; direct assembly and test; drive lean initiatives; and report on cost, schedule, and performance to management.

• Lean manufacturing knowledge and continuous improvement focus.

Responsibilities

• Directs all aspects and phases of Assembly and Test operations.
• Provides leadership in Technical Guidance, Process Development, Continuous Improvement, Capacity & Capital Planning, Cost/Benefit analyses.
• Responsible for Quality, Cost, and on-time delivery of Product.
• Manages safety and morale of assigned personnel.
• Identifies process problems and develops solutions.
• Drives cost reduction and efficiency while remaining adaptable to change.
• Leads initiatives and interfaces with all management levels.
• Ensures training is completed and effective.
• Monitors adherence to production schedules and schedules of Operations & Readiness.
• Directs work of Manufacturing Assemblers and Technicians.
• Performs performance evaluations.
