Title: Manufacturing Operations Manager
Location: Rosemount, MN
Job Type: FTE/Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead and motivate the Billet Cast House team to achieve safety, quality, and production targets.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean Manufacturing and other methodologies to improve efficiency and processes.
- Operations Management: Oversee casting, maintenance, logistics, shipments, and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) activities.
- Training & Development: Implement training programs to enhance team skills and support career growth.
- Budget & KPIs: Manage budgets, track performance, and develop corrective actions when needed.
- Safety Focus: Maintain and enforce a safe work environment and culture.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align operations with broader organizational goals through teamwork and communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- 5+ years in an operations leadership role with budget responsibilities.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in metal melting and casting of Aluminum, Billet casting.
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies (JIT, SPC, TQM, etc.)
- Proven track record in fostering safety culture and systems.
- Technical aptitude in production systems, blueprints, and basic PLCs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Spanish language skills (a plus).
- Knowledge of KPIs, production equipment, and safety protocols.
- Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA) and molten metal training preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to noise and machinery.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Manage dynamic logistics and production demands.
