Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. in Indiana seeks a Production Supervisor to manage daily operations of supervisors and staff, ensuring orders are produced efficiently while meeting safety and quality standards.

You will drive process improvements, maintain SOPs, and oversee staffing, performance, and worker relations. Responsibilities include coordinating with plant leadership, monitoring compliance with regulations and GMPs, and reporting on operational metrics.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• 5 to 8 years’ experience in manufacturing with supervision/management experience.
• Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operational activities of supervisors and production staff to meet customer orders at the lowest possible cost while upholding safety and quality standards.
• Analyze operations and metrics to maintain high quality and safety; seek efficiency improvements and cost containment.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all operational activities.
• Report deficiencies to plant leadership and resolve operations issues; participate in safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies; communicate policies to staff.
• Lead meetings with department management to discuss policies, plans, or problems affecting operations and employee relations.
• Prepare reports and records for management review; monitor inventory levels and approve purchases as appropriate.
• Oversee recruitment, scheduling, development, evaluation, and performance management; enforce work rules and discipline fairly.
• Support HR to resolve employee grievances and promote positive relations.
