Job summary

ColonialWebb is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse and shop floor activities in Richmond, VA. You will lead Supervisors, Mechanics, Apprentices, and Helpers while upholding safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

This role emphasizes Lean continuous improvement, workflow optimization, and strong leadership to drive productivity and ensure adherence to company policies and customer requirements. In-person work, with a daytime Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in warehouse or manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and production workflows.
• Working knowledge of Lean operational principles including 5S and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with solid analytical and administrative skills.
• Experience managing manpower allocation and operational productivity.
• Proficiency with modern technology including laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and workplace safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse and operational activities across assigned teams.
• Maintain high quality standards and promote Lean continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, standardized work).
• Manage workforce productivity, manpower allocation, and equipment utilization.
• Oversee inventory processes including receiving, storage, tracking, and loss prevention.
• Enforce company safety policies and ensure OSHA compliance; conduct safety meetings and investigations.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to staff and maintain strong communication with leadership.
