Job summary

Ducommun LaBarge Technologies, Inc. in Huntsville, AR seeks an Operations Manager to lead production, engineering, planning, and facility maintenance to meet budget and delivery targets.

You will implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives, manage inventory and manufacturing costs, and drive on-time delivery to customers while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, scheduling, staffing, safety, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of SPC, TQM, Lean Manufacturing; ISO standards; Mil Specs required at CAS facilities.
• Demonstrated project management experience—planning, budget, resources.
• Ability to communicate with customers at multiple levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coordination, and direction for all production operations, engineering, planning, and facility maintenance to meet budget.
• Facilitate continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and cycle-time reduction plans.
• Create shipment forecast and oversee scheduling.
• Oversee inventory levels, manufacturing costs, and on-time delivery to customers.
• Promote ownership of product quality among teams.
• Provide leadership for facility safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA).
• Prepare annual departmental budget and monitor performance to plan.
• Manage KPIs including capacity utilization, labor productivity, and cost performance.
• Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to management.
• Lead expansion of facilities and capital equipment installation.
• Develop direct reports and allocate resources for performance goals.
• Own plant layout for production areas.
• Participate in recruiting and development of operations staff.
