• Directs implementation and execution of manufacturing policies and practices.
• Monitors output through key indicators and adjusts accordingly.
• Plans long-term production requirements to include manpower, machine load and additional resources.
• Oversees daily production operations with supervisors and manufacturing staff.
• Participates in development of production plans with cross-functional teams.
• Works with Managers on product changes, production needs and future objectives.
• Initiates meetings to resolve ongoing problems and implement new procedures.
• Contributes to long-range strategic objectives of operations.
• Requisitions outside supplies for related production area.
• Coordinates with planning to ensure accuracy of daily schedules.
• Uses Operating Software to enter time/payroll and job information.
• Oversees maintenance work order requests for accuracy.
• Maintains safe work area and enforces safety policies.
• Keeps current with production machinery knowledge and supervisory skills.
• Sets performance standards and coaches staff to maximize performance.
• Involves hiring, planning, directing work, appraising performance and resolving issues.
