Job summary

RTX in Rockford, IL searches for an experienced Manufacturing Operations leader to manage a large team across two shifts. You will set long-term objectives, direct scheduling, and drive production innovations to meet company goals.

The role requires a university or advanced degree with 7–10 years in manufacturing, plus Six-Sigma/LEAN experience and SAP familiarity. Onsite role with relocation options and strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced Degree with 7+ years of related experience accepted.
• 3+ years leading direct reports in manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality items for the unit/shift to meet established standards.
• Lead cost reduction efforts and process improvements for efficiency.
• Lead scheduling to align with production plans.
• Coordinate work sequencing for smooth operations and resource use.
• Oversee materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability.
• Establish performance objectives and drive cell productivity.
• Guide production innovation, including additive manufacturing.
• Partner with customers to understand needs and ensure service levels.
• Supervise multiple manufacturing disciplines within Operations.
• Support travel up to 10%.
