Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor in Redwood City, CA to lead training, improve processes, and sustain safety and quality. You will guide a multi-functional workforce, define goals, monitor performance, and drive on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree desired.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years direct leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a highly motivated workforce through training and employee development programs to elevate the skill level of employees.
• Define manufacturing improvement goals to reduce setup, improve productivity and quality, reduce cycle time, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain a high level of safety awareness and address any safety deficiencies or concerns.
• Monitor department product quality and metrics and address discrepancies.
• Monitor the production schedule and adjust deviations as needed.
• Conduct performance evaluations of Team Leaders and Team Members and coach them to improve results.
• Mentor Team Leaders and Team Members for career development and succession planning.
• Ensure team follows Chemelex Technical Solutions policies and procedures.
• Maintain training records for Team Leaders and Team Members.
• Implement plant deployment strategies and transformation plan.
• Collect key performance metrics from processes and act on findings.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions for safety, quality and delivery misses.
