Job summary

Columbus McKinnon in Chattanooga, TN seeks a Production Operator to ensure efficient use of information, products, equipment, and manpower, delivering high service levels for customer orders and transfers.

You will work with a supervisor to balance safety, quality, and productivity while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and training activities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use measurement tools.
• Capable of safely lifting up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• Completion and maintenance of First Aid and CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety by following plant policies and procedures.
• Coordinate daily production and maintenance activities to meet goals.
• Monitor production performance through audits and checks.
• Review hourly charts and oversee SQDCI boards.
• Identify inventory discrepancies and communicate issues.
• Move materials to support production and provide operator relief.
• Maintain powered industrial trucks and perform routine safety tasks.
• Assist in training and staffing adjustments as needed.
