Job summary

DTS is seeking a Manufacturing Manager in Seal Beach, CA to lead Assembly, Test, and Logistics teams in a high-tech, electro-mechanical environment. You’ll drive lean improvements, oversee schedules, and partner with QA and HR on staffing and training.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or manufacturing management with 5+ years in manufacturing leadership, plus strong IPC-610/IPC-620 knowledge and ERP/MRP experience. Excellent communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering, manufacturing management, or similar discipline and substantial related (approximately 5 years) experience in a manufacturing management role.
• Related experience in a high mix, fast-paced, high tech, electro-mechanical manufacturing environment with knowledge of IPC-610/IPC-620 and lean manufacturing.
• Experience implementing and sustaining 6S/Lean Manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Experience utilizing SYSPRO or similar ERP/MRP systems for scheduling work orders, work centers, and WIP.
• ISO 17025 knowledge and experience managing teams performing test/calibration is a plus.
• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and resource planning preferred.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manages Assembly and Test teams, ensuring quality and quantity of work, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Supervises logistics and materials team to meet receiving, inventory, and shipping requirements.
• Trains and coaches team members; addresses issues and performance with HR and management.
• Coordinates with Assembly, Test, and Production Control to ensure timely work orders and appropriate workload.
• Identifies, develops ROI, and implements process improvements.
• Collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering to introduce new products and improve processes.
• Documents production nonconformances and works with Quality for root cause and corrective actions.
• Maintains KPIs and drives training and continuous improvement.
