Job summary

Johnson Screens is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor in New Brighton, MN on a 2nd shift (3pm-1am), Monday–Thursday. You will lead and develop production teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives within our OES framework.

We value Lean leadership, collaboration, and accountability, with a strong emphasis on safety and continuous improvement. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of leadership in manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain or manufacturing required.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing with shift-level responsibility.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a diverse workforce with integrity and professionalism.
• Strong experience managing employee relations and working with HR on escalated issues.
• Lean manufacturing tools experience (e.g., 5S, A3, Root Cause Analysis, Standard Work).
• Proficiency in SAP and other ERP systems; strong Excel and office skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to assigned work teams to meet OES objectives.
• Lead teams in alignment with True North values and drive SQDC performance.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Policy, procedures, and HSE requirements.
• Foster safe work environment with risk assessments and continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance reviews, feedback, coaching, and development.
• Allocate resources to meet operational, safety, and quality goals.
• Manage day-to-day operations for efficiency and on-time workflow.
• Implement and improve standard work, procedures, and policies.
• Monitor metrics on cost, labor, quality, delivery, and HSE.
• Lead problem-solving using OES methods and facilitate boards and cards.
• Communicate expectations, metrics, and performance clearly to team.
• Motivate employees to meet deadlines and continuously improve processes.
• Encourage idea sharing and innovation to improve business results.
• Recognize achievements and perform other duties as assigned.
