Job summary

Mactac in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a senior operations supervisor to foster a safe work environment and lead shift teams on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday). You will oversee all value-added activities and supporting departments while driving daily performance.

Reports to the Plant Manager and leads Leads and Operators to deliver quality, on-time output. Requires 5–8 years in manufacturing supervision, a relevant degree, and strong lean and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-8 years in manufacturing with supervisory responsibilities.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree preferred in Engineering, Chemical, Biology, or Business related field of study.
• Experience with web handling and coating equipment, pressure-sensitive adhesives, labeling, or paper industries highly preferred; slitting/cutting/separating department experience a plus.
• Experienced user of ERP, warehouse management system, Microsoft Office software suite required
• Strong lean manufacturing experience especially in continuous improvement, elimination of waste, 5S, Kaizen events, and visual management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and support departments to maintain safety and productivity.
• Manage staffing, vacation/time off, and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
• Lead Leads and Operators to safely produce a quality product in the most efficient manner.
• Monitor and drive KPI results for safety, quality, productivity, and service.
• Provide training on safety, SOPs, and housekeeping; coach problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with HR on employee issues and compliance and support payroll questions.
