Job summary

United CoolAir is seeking a strategic Manufacturing & Operations Director to lead our York, PA manufacturing organization. This newly created role reports to the head of the business unit and focuses on operational excellence and building high-performing teams.

You will drive safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost improvements, champion Lean and ISO 9001 initiatives, and partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales to align operations with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of leadership in assembly-based manufacturing.
• Experience leading manufacturing operations and continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of Lean and operational excellence.
• Experience in ISO 9001 environments or similar quality systems.
• Proven productivity gains and cost-reductions.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase throughput and efficiency.
• Champion Lean and continuous improvement across production and material flow.
• Drive data-driven decision making with KPIs and performance metrics.
• Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and Quality to align operations with objectives.
• Identify process improvements to enhance capacity and reduce waste and improve quality.
• Lead quality initiatives including ISO 9001 and corrective actions.
• Evaluate processes, plant layout, workflow, and material handling for optimization.
• Support new product introductions with readiness and scalability.
• Build and mentor high-performing teams and foster engagement.
• Lead transformational change to strengthen long-term performance.
