Job summary

Aston Carter seeks a detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to support Joliet, IL manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with Project Management, Purchasing, Production, and Leadership to set up jobs, track progress, and generate production reports.

This onsite role provides exposure to ERP systems, job costing, and data-driven improvements while coordinating across departments to keep production running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing support, production coordination, or a related role.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, COUNTIFS and data reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems or similar business software platforms.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable with numerical data and operational reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production jobs within the ERP system, ensuring accuracy of operational details.
• Coordinate information flow between Project Management, Purchasing, and Production teams.
• Support production planning by tracking active projects and monitoring job progress.
• Prepare and distribute production status reports and meeting updates.
• Assist leadership with operational reporting and performance tracking.
• Perform high-volume data entry with accuracy and maintain production records.
• Analyze production-related data in Excel to support decisions and improvements.
• Support labor tracking, job costing, and production reporting efforts.
• Collaborate with shop floor and warehouse teams to verify job activity and resolve issues.
