Job summary

Cathay Home Inc. is seeking an Operations Assistant to support production, inventory and floor operations in our pillow manufacturing facility. You will bridge administration and shop floor tasks, tracking raw materials and coordinating shipments.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with 1–3 years in manufacturing or warehouse roles; proficiency in MS Office and basic ERP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or operational support.
• Solid computer skills and familiarity with ERP/inventory tools.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production logs; track daily output, downtime, and labor hours.
• Generate manufacturing orders; distribute daily work tickets to lines.
• Coordinate shipping/receiving; prepare packing slips and schedule freight.
• Assist billing; cross-reference POs with delivery receipts for finance.
• Other general clerical duties as assigned.
• Track inventory levels; perform physical counts of fabrics and materials.
• Monitor scrap rates and report discrepancies to Operations Manager.
• Ensure finished pillows meet weight, stitching, and packaging specs before shipment.
