Job summary

Massie Manufacturing, Inc. in Baraga, Michigan seeks a full-time Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, friendly, and detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks in a supportive environment.

The position offers 20.00–27.00 USD per hour, discretionary bonus, comprehensive benefits, 401(k), PTO, and a standard Mon-Thu 6am–3:30pm, Fri 6am–10am schedule. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of office experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word & Excel, and typing ability.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, respond to customer emails, and direct questions to the right team members.
• Process purchase orders, enter sales orders, and maintain accurate job logs and records.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory tracking.
• Schedule outgoing shipments and coordinate shipping logistics.
• Keep paper and electronic records organized, including data entry, scanning, filing, and document disposal.
• Read and understand manufacturing documents to support daily operations.
• Work closely with team members across departments to coordinate priorities and keep work moving smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, organized office and work area.
• Monitor office and shop supplies and reorder as needed.
