Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Mission Assurance Engineer to join our Space Sector in Promontory, UT or Clearfield, UT. The role emphasizes ensuring the quality of tooling and manufactured parts through inspection planning, SPC, and GD&T guidance.

The candidate will work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off and may travel up to 25%. A U.S. Government Secret clearance is required or the ability to obtain one.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 0 years of professional experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques.
• Process Controls (SPC).
• Interpreting blueprints and specifications.
• Troubleshooting production/tooling/facility issues and implementing improvements.
• GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with machining and/or dimensional inspection.

• Conduct source inspections at vendor sites ensuring quality and technical standards are met before authorizing shipment.
• Understand design intent, failure modes, requirements, and specifications of product and processes.
• Provide quality guidance in tooling design reviews to ensure quality requirements are captured.
• Author initial inspection plans for new tooling and periodic/recycle inspection plans.
• Serve as liaison between S&MA and government agencies.
• Coordinate with operating entities to ensure inspections and SPC analyses are conducted and documented.
