Job summary

CPC in Minnesota is seeking a production leader to own daily operations, drive Lean/Six Sigma improvements, and lead a multi-shift team. You will manage performance metrics, coach supervisors, and partner with HR on talent strategies to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

The role emphasizes safety, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration, with travel up to 10% as needed. A strong background in manufacturing analytics and ISO 9001 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Management, or a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and/or continuous improvement.
• Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience.
• Manufacturing experience in controlled environments preferred.
• Strong skills in production analytics and reporting.
• Deep understanding of inventory management, production planning, and scheduling.
• Knowledge of flow management in low-volume/high-mix environments.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and health & safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end operation performance for daily production and meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Oversee shift execution across a large direct labor workforce and ensure SOP adherence.
• Escalate daily operational disruptions to keep production on schedule.
• Lead data-driven capacity planning and address capacity constraints.
• Analyze throughput metrics, takt times, and labor variances to optimize staffing and shifts.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach front-line supervisors and operators in structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Lead value-stream mapping events and kaizen workshops to reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with Quality policies and certifications as needed.
• Support ISO, ASI, and other certifications; maintain safety compliance.
• Host daily tier board meetings and monthly town halls.
• Collaborate with HR on recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
• Develop and train a world-class shop-floor team.
