Job summary

Midland Plastics, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Manager to lead Machining, Fabrication, Maintenance, and Programming with a hands-on approach. You will drive production performance, staffing, workflow, and equipment reliability while promoting safety and customer-focused results on the factory floor.

You will coach supervisors, develop teams, and advance continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing supervisors and production teams in manufacturing.
• Experience overseeing machining, fabrication, CNC, or similar operations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, scheduling, planning, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with safety programs and promoting a safety culture.
• Excellent communication and ability to coach at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate production and processing activities to meet customer, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.
• Review schedules with supervisors to determine staffing, workflows, and work assignments within budget and time constraints.
• Maintain on-floor presence to address challenges and drive accountability.
• Lead machine programming priorities to align with production plans and customer requirements.
• Develop and track production KPIs to detect and address issues.
• Collaborate with staff to resolve manufacturing issues and support customer requirements.
• Participate in hiring, training, performance reviews, corrective action, and termination decisions.
• Serve as Safety Team Lead and drive the company safety program.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
