Job summary

TalentBridge is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to guide a production team toward safety, quality, and on-time delivery in our Grand Rapids facility. You will lead a skilled workforce, manage schedules, and ensure adherence to lean and CI practices.

The role requires at least 4 years in manufacturing, a degree preferred, and strong leadership, coaching, and relationship-building skills to drive improvements and align with company goals.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Technical knowledge or expert-level experience with specific processes.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in manufacturing.
  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive safety - Participate in safety programs and sub-teams, ensure audits are completed on time, implement departmental safety suggestions, identify unsafe conditions, enforce safety compliance, and investigate safety incidents.
  • Manage quality - Learn and understand quality procedures and inspections, assure compliance, and work directly with Quality personnel to resolve issues and answer questions.
  • Lead continuous improvement - Actively implement a continuous improvement environment while encouraging innovation and continuous learning.
  • Lead and develop team members - Manage team performance using data and performance measures. Provide formal and informal feedback, leadership, support, and guidance.
  • Own the production schedule - Anticipate and respond to workflow changes, deploy overtime as necessary, and manage time-off requests to ensure appropriate staffing.
  • Manage the departmental budget - Manage labor and overhead costs.
  • Own operational performance - Be accountable for meeting and exceeding safety, quality, delivery, productivity, morale, and inventory goals.
  • Manage capital needs - Identify capital needs and projects and execute the capital budget.
