Job summary

Global Search Network is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead plant-floor operations, drive daily execution, and manage production programs to meet targets. This role reports to the Site Lead and emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

The position requires a track record in large-scale production leadership, OSHA/cGMP compliance, and team development to build a high-performing manufacturing team. On-site work in a regulated facility is expected.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of progressive operations experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience as Manufacturing Manager, Senior Operations Manager or Production Superintendent.
  • Strong understanding of regulated manufacturing environments (FDA, cGMP, OSHA).

Responsibilities

  • Production Strategy & Execution: Lead continuous manufacturing operations to achieve the annual master production plan.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the central point of contact for daily plant execution with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, EHS, Maintenance, and Finance.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Directly manage, coach, and develop Production Supervisors, Process Specialists, and technical support staff.
  • Operational Excellence & Safety: Enforce OSHA, EHS guidelines, and cGMP standards; lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost OEE and reduce waste.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Assist in developing and managing manufacturing budgets, controlling labor and expenses.
  • Vendor & Project Oversight: Coordinate with contractors, engineering teams, and vendors during upgrades and major maintenance projects.

  • Experience: 7–10+ years of progressive operations experience, with a proven track record as a Manufacturing Manager, Senior Operations Manager, or Production Superintendent.
  • Technical & Regulatory Awareness: Strong understanding of regulated manufacturing environments (FDA, cGMP, OSHA standards).
  • Core Competencies: High-speed continuous manufacturing, shop-floor workforce leadership, operational budgeting, vendor coordination, and cross-functional problem-solving.
Role Overview

The Manufacturing Manager serves as the primary operational leader on the plant floor, holding daily execution accountability for all production programs, site volume targets, and manufacturing teams. Reporting directly to the Site Lead, this role drives day-to-day manufacturing operations, resource planning, process optimization, and team development while enforcing safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Strategy & Execution: Lead continuous manufacturing operations to achieve the annual master production plan. Align workforce scheduling, equipment utilization, and material availability to meet volume and efficiency targets.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the central point of contact for daily plant execution, working seamlessly with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, EHS, Maintenance, and Finance.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Directly manage, coach, and develop Production Supervisors, Process Specialists, and technical support staff to build a high-performing floor management team.
  • Operational Excellence & Safety: Enforce strict compliance with OSHA, EHS guidelines, and cGMP/regulatory standards on the floor. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to resolve bottlenecks, boost OEE, and eliminate waste.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Assist in developing and managing manufacturing operational budgets, controlling labor, scrap, and operational expenses.
  • Vendor & Project Oversight: Coordinate with external contractors, engineering teams, and vendor technical representatives during facility upgrades, equipment integrations, and major maintenance projects.
