Job summary

System One is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an onsite role in Bridgeton, NJ. The position is contract-to-hire with a 6:00 am to 4:30 pm schedule, Monday–Friday, with possible flexible start times.

You will troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing and facility equipment, perform preventive maintenance, install and repair electrical and mechanical systems, and support safety initiatives and special projects. Prior experience in automation/packaging environments is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of repair experience in manufacturing, especially with automation/packaging equipment.
• Experience in at least two trades from electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, or machining.
• Knowledge of 480V 3-phase power, logic controllers, motor starters, and VFDs.
• Experience with FIIX maintenance software.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and machinery.
• Able to work in hot/cold environments and stand for up to 12 hours daily.
• Flexibility to work any shift and overtime; may pass proficiency tests.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and maintain manufacturing and facility equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical systems.
• Repair and maintain motors, conveyor systems, mixers, packaging equipment, and production machinery.
• Install and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, motors, switches, and related electrical equipment.
• Perform plumbing, piping, boiler, welding, fabrication, and building maintenance work as needed.
• Maintain maintenance inventories, tools, records, and work order documentation.
• Support facility upkeep, safety initiatives, and special projects assigned by management.
