Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive in Clinton, Oklahoma seeks a Maintenance Technician to operate, repair and changeover production equipment. You will partner with Operations to boost safety, reliability, and uptime while supporting continuous improvement and GMP adherence.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance, review schematics, and collaborate with technicians and operators to achieve plant objectives and maintain high quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant or an Associate’s Degree in a related field
• 3+ years manufacturing experience
• Practical knowledge of basic maintenance shop equipment
• Problem assessment, problem solving and basic math skills
• Intermediate computer skills in Google suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
• Completes work orders in SAP in a timely manner
• Reviews equipment instructions, blueprints, electrical and pneumatic schematics for test specifications
• Assists with root cause analysis to identify reasons for equipment failures
• Records test procedures and results and makes recommendations for changes in methods
• Fabricates machine parts as needed
• Works with teams to ensure correct PMs in SAP
• Maintains spare parts inventory and restocking for the plant
• Audits work order completion and effectiveness
• Trains and assists in changeovers of automated equipment
• Completes regulatory and compliance documentation accurately
• Participates in team activities for line/area performance improvement
• Supports production transfer skills to operation technicians
• Complies with company policies, safety standards, GMPs and Food Safety
