Jabil is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our night shift team in Hanover Park, IL. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electro-mechanical production equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting operations to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical and mechanical systems and experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent training/education required.
- 2-5 years of experience in electro-mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with computerized maintenance tracking systems (CMMS).
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Understanding of safety procedures and requirements.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Schedule & Physical Requirements
- 12-hour night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Requires lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, bending, and reaching frequently.
- Must be able to work in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures.

Responsibilities
- Train and coordinate activities of machine operators in the maintenance of production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment based on technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document all maintenance activities per program designation.
- Calibrate and test equipment using diagnostic tools.
- Move or assist in the movement and installation of equipment as needed.
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions to ensure minimal downtime.
- Monitor and comply with all safety and security procedures.
- Assist with sourcing and ordering parts as needed.
- May require working overtime or being on-call based on business needs.
